  90. This is just to let you know that you are going to lose contact with  
  91. us for about two weeks or so.

  93. UFORA HQ and Administration is moving to Cairns, tropical Far North  
  94. Queensland, on November 13, 1991. I'll poll Paranet on Saturday  
  95. evening,  (our time) November 9, for the last time before I pack my  
  96. computer and send it off to Cairns. My wife and I are leaving on  
  97. Wednesday by car. It will take us about 5-6 days to get to Cairns. As  
  98. soon as I have phone connected I'll get in touch with Mike.

  100. Because I am host for Paranet/UFORA you'll also lose contact with  
  101. Bill Chalker, Keith Basterfield and other UFORA associates who are on  
  102. Paranet/UFORA. We have established a UFORA Research Division in  
  103. Adelaide and Keith, as UFORA research officer, is going to be in  
  104. charge of this branch. Other than that everything else remains the  
  105. same. I'll post our new adress on Paranet as soon as possible.

  196. to offer to send a copy of the UFO Universe article about Price!  
  197. Wouldn't it be terribly expensive what with copying and postage,  
  198. though?  If it is not too unreasonable and isn't too time consuming,  
  199. I would like to accept your kind offer on the condition that you  
  200. permit me to reimburse your expenses for sending this article.   And  
  201. this raises a problem -- when I've exchanged items with friends in  
  202. England or been paid by British magazines, I've had difficulty using  
  203. the funds or cashing checks, so that past experience makes me wonder  
  204. what would be a fair medium of exchange for you...perhaps you have a  
  205. use for U.S. stamps (maybe in return envelopes?) or perhaps you  
  206. would have no difficulty cashing a check or depositing it in your  
  207. bank?  Please let me know what would work best for you, but I do  
  208. want to cover the expenses or perhaps exchange something of equal  
  209. value to be fair.  Hmmmm....if funds were a problem, perhaps you  
  210. would want a copy of the audiotape of the radio interview? 
  211.         As you noted, hard evidence is sadly lacking in so many  
  212. cases.  I'm interested to learn more about the Price case...maybe  
  213. it'll become an Omni magazine article later.

  627. On Sunday, October 27th, I had the great pleasure to meet with Jacques  
  628. Vallee while he was here in Denver.  He has recently published a new book  
  629. titled "Revelations."  I have read the book and will be doing a book review of  
  630. it very soon, but I did want to post something about Vallee's outstanding  
  631. work.  The book deals with the aspect of ufology that most of us will not  
  632. accept:  disinformation and who is behind it.  I am sure that most of the ufo  
  633. community will find the book caustic, however it is a very refreshing look at  
  634. just how badly the research community has faltered in their efforts to bring  
  635. an understanding of the UFO phenomena.  Get the book and read it.

  671. TEL AVIV (NOV. 7) DPA - A soldier who fell asleep 
  672. on guard duty had hundreds of Israelis believing 
  673. that aliens from outer space were invading their 
  674. town, and caused a full military alert to be 
  675. annouced, Israel Army Radio reported Thursday. 
  676.    Hundreds of residents of the northern town of 
  677. Bet She'an had reported seeing a mysterious circle 
  678. of light high in the sky on Tuesday night. 
  679.    Police confirmed the sighting and in 
  680. conjunction with the army declared a military 
  681. alert until the light disappeared at dawn. 
  682.    The mystery was solved the next day when it was 
  683. discovered that a soldier who nodded off at his 
  684. guard post slumped against a powerful searchlight, 
  685. flicking on its switch and directing its glaring 
  686. beam into the sky, the radio reported.

  713. Florida & Alabama. The earth has been shaking for no apparent reason!  Here's  
  714. an excerpt from yesterday's Pensacola News Journal:

  719.    West Florida and South Alabama rattled Friday, but no one can explain the  
  720. mystery jolts. 
  721.    The National Earthquake Center in Golden, Colo., didn't record any tremors  
  722. in the area, but the News Journal and the Weather Service recieved several  
  723. reports of shaking at about 11 a.m. and 3:30  p.m. 
  724.    The calls came from Perdido Key, Ensley, downtown Pensacola, and Mobile,  
  725. Ala. 
  726.    "I was out in the yard working on my car and the ground started shaking  
  727. under me, so I got away," said John  Marchese of West Gregory Street near  
  728. downtown (Pens). "The windows in the house nearly broke." 
  729.    Pensacola Naval Air Station and Eglin Air Force Base spokesmen said they had  
  730. no reports of supersonic flights or other military activities that could  
  731. explain the tremors. 
  732.    "We had the same kind of weird thing happen  about two months ago, and we  
  733. didn't ever resolve what happened," said Eglin spokeswoman Lois Walsh. 
  734.    There is one major fault in the North-west Florida area, and it is inactive.  
  735.   It runs from beneath the Gulf of Mexico northwest through Santa Rosa County  
  736. and the Jay oil fields. 
  737.    It bends in a westward arc through southern Alabama, southern Mississippi,  
  738. northern Loisiana and Texas, where it ends.

  744.    Yep, it's a strange thing. I myself didn't experience the tremors this time,  
  745. but I did feel the ones that happened a few months ago. The windows start  
  746. rattling, and there is a low rumbling noise. 
  747.    That tremor happened Friday (Nov. 3rd). A second tremor occured the next day  
  748.  (Saturday, the 2nd). I'll post the article that appeared in today's paper  
  749. about it in my next message...

  770. series of tremors which have been shaking the Florida/Alabama area:

  776.    The ground in Pensacola continued to shake Saturday, but for the second  
  777. straight day, no one could explain the tremors. 
  778.    Police and local military bases were swamped with calls Saturday from people  
  779. wanting to know what caused the ground to shake about 4 p.m. 
  780.    "It really was scary, it honestly was," said Cheryl Swanson, who felt her  
  781. house rattle. 
  782.    The tremor was strong enough to break windows and knocked the lamps off a  
  783. table at one man's Ensley home, a sheriff's dispatcher said. She said operators  
  784. answered more than 100 calls from people asking about the shake. 
  785.    What caused the ground to move is still a mystery. Similar tremors were  
  786. reported at 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Friday. 
  787.    Local Military bases deny responsibility and the NAtional Earthquake  
  788. Information Center in Golden, Colo., reported (again) no tremors in the area.  
  789. Russ Needham, a geophysicist with the center, said he was stumped. "I can't say  
  790. it isn't an earthquake, but if it was, it was too small for us to detect,"  
  791. Needham said. 
  792.    He speculated that the tremor could have been caused by an aircraft  
  793. traveling at supersonic speeds. 
  794.    But officials at Eglin Air Force Base and Pensacola Naval Air Station said  
  795. the military is not responsible. 
  796.    "We don't have anything to do with it, but we're trying to find out," said  
  797. NAS Operation Specialist 2nd Class Harold Brown. "We felt it over here, also.  
  798. We're getting one call after the other." 
  799.    "It's not coming from us," Eglin spokeswoman Capt. Susan Brown said. "It  
  800. shook my back door, too, so I know what you're talking about." 
  801.    Air Force Sgt. Ronald Smith said he started recieving calls about 3:50 p.m.  
  802. from Orange Beach, Ala., to Destin (Fla). 
  803.    Matt Carter, 17, of Gulf Breeze said the kitchen windows rattled. 
  804.    Al Rappuhn, 66, who lives about three miles from NAS, said his windows  
  805. rattled and his house shook for about 10 seconds. 
  806.    "I wonder if it's that gang out in Gulf Breeze moving those UFO's on us?"
